Job Opening in Provo/Orem Area

Thursday, May 13th, 2010

Alexander’s Print Advantage is looking for a print designer! You don’t need to know web or how to make fancy interactive sites. You just need to know how to design, deal with clients, and have a love for printing. As the job also includes prepress work from time to time you need to know proper prepress etiquette and proper file setup. But don’t let this deter you from applying, we have manners enough to teach, and can tech you the ways of the Indigo & Seiko. Prepress work will be required during down time, but although lately our client list seems to be expanding at an incredible rate. The only problem is that I am leaving and looking for a replacement. I will also put in a disclaimer that this job can be stressful at times and you need to be able to work fast and have a mental toughness about you. But all in all it is a great gig for someone who loves print design and wants to learn more about wide format, silkscreening, signage, materials, finishings, bindery, offset, and the future of digital printing. (Yes we try to do it all) It’s one of the bigger print houses in the area, employing over 50 people and enough square footage to fill the Hart auditorium. So if your interested send me your stuff (emailed preferably) and I will see about getting you and interview with the big man.

Send your resume and portfolio to: shawnm@alexanders.com

Startup opportunity

Tuesday, October 21st, 2008

*Disclaimer* I’m not endorsing the following. I really don’t know anything about this opportunity. A friend of mine asked if I knew any designers looking for work, so I’m passing this along as a courtesy to him. Might be a great opportunity, might not. Good luck.
