Shawn Murdock: Fall 2008 BFA Show

Thursday, January 8th, 2009

Hello fellow alumni and friends. I thought that you might all like to see one of the exhibits from this past BFA show. I chose to do an Information Design based project focusing on the mountain bike trails within the Big Hole Mountain range (Idaho/Wyoming area). I created a trail guide, maps, icons, and a trail way-finding system. I had a lot of fun “doing research” on this project. (Mountain biking at Kelly Canyon) By the time it was over I had ridden over one hundred and fifty miles gathering G.P.S. coordinates and documenting every rock, bump, and stream I could find. It was a time consuming project but now that I Iook back it was great learning experience.I am now currently in Los Angeles looking to start an exciting new career in Environmental/Packaging design. If you know of any firms looking to hire in or out of L.A. please let me know. As both my wife and I are flexible to move. If you would like to see more of my work you can visit www.shawnmurdock.com
